About us
Avant~Garde’s first hair salon opened within Cannons Health Club in Worcester in January 2005. The salon quickly built up a client base and the word began to spread. As our reputation grew we took on additional stylists to cope with our increasing popularity and in March 2006 we opened our second salon, just 15 months after we had opened in Worcester. The new salon is again based within a health club - the Next Generation Health Club in Brierley Hill - and is our flagship salon. As you will see from the pictures on this website, it is truly stunning. As a company we offer the highest service in superb and relaxed environments.
We, Ian Beswick and Naomi Hemming, are the owners of Avant~Garde, yet within the company we take on very different roles. Naomi’s creative hands are put to good use in her role as Company Designer. She works at both salons as our top stylist and has built up an avid following of clients, many of whom have been with Naomi for many years. Ian is the Company Director, charged with the challenge of running the business end of the company. We have been a couple for more than 5 years and find it the perfect way to run our business. With us both playing different roles we feel we can get the best out of the company using our individual talents.
We started the Company at the tender ages of 21 & 22 and, with youth on our side, we only intend to grow and expand in the future and become a leading name within the industry.
